ABOUT IIM AHMEDABAD
The decade following independence in 1947 was witness to a surge of innovative ideas to build a fledgling independent nation into a model democratic state committed to growth with equity in the development of its people. The establishment of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) was the outcome of one such innovative initiative.
Led by Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, Shri. Kasturbhai Lalbhai and proactively supported by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Dr. Jivraj Mehta, a group of enlightened individuals set up IIMA. This group ably wove together a coalition of five actors - the governments at the centre and the state, the local industrialists, the Ford Foundation and the Harvard Business School, in a true spirit of public private partnership to establish the Institute.
The constitution for governance of IIMA was different from that for traditional universities. It was set up as an institution that would be managed by a Society, the IIMA Society, created under the Societies Act, for the purpose. The Institute was to be run by the Board of Governors, constituted by the IIMA Society; the Board would have wide representation from all the relevant constituencies to reflect the multifarious needs of a developing nation. IIMA was therefore conceived as an Institute that would be a Board managed institution, free from exclusive control of any one constituency. Thus, operational freedom is an integral part of the DNA of IIMA.
IIMA has consistently been ranked as the number one management school in the country year after year in the last several years. In its latest ranking, The Economist has ranked IIMA at 56 among the top 100 international B-schools in the world that offer full time MBA. The Financial Times (FT) has ranked the two-year post graduate programme in management (PGP) of IIMA in the top ten programmes in the category of Masters Programmes in Management that do not require work experience as pre-requisite for admission. FT reported that this was the first time that any Indian B-school was not only included in the survey but also achieved such high ranking. The Financial Times has also ranked the one-year post graduate programme in management for executives (PGPX) among the top MBA programmes globally. The two post graduate programme in management with specialization in agri-sector (PGP-ABM) is ranked at number one among comparable programmes globally by Eduniversal.
In 2008, IIMA also became the first business school in the country to be awarded EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation. This accreditation awarded by the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) certifies that the quality of IIMA’s academic processes and programmes are on par with the best business schools globally that have similar accreditation.

PROGRAM DESIGN & DURATION
- Duration: Six Month
- Frequency: Once a week
- Class schedule: Saturday 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM
- Delivery : Through Classes at NIIT Imperia centre for Advanced Learning in your City, using synchronous Learning Technology platform. In addition, there will be two mandatory campus visits at IIM Ahmedabad. 2 days at the start of the program and 2 days towards the mid of the program

The final decision on evaluation methods rests with the course faculty and may change without prior intimation.

CAMPUS VISIT DETAILS
A mandatory Campus Module fee is to be paid vide DD drawn in favour of IIM Ahmedabad , before every campus visit. This amount includes boarding and lodging expenses. Travel arrangements (including travel expenses) for the campus visit have to be made by the participants themselves.

INITIAL PAYMENT DETAILS
#Initial payment will be refunded completely if the applicant is not selected for the program by the institute. This does not include the application amount of Rs. 1,000/-
Initial payment will not be refunded in case of any/all of the following conditions:
- The application is found to be incomplete or inaccurate at any stage of scrutiny (Appearing in PAT does not confirm application acceptance/clearance of scrutiny)
- The applicant is offered a seat for the program and does not join before the date mentioned in the offer letter.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the application is complete in all respects. The selection offer letter is for a specific batch of a program. Neither the offer for admission nor the initial amount is transferable to any other program or batch.
Admission Process ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND SELECTION PROCESS
- Applicants should be working professionals/self-employed (Need to produce supporting proof)
- Graduates (10+2+3 or equivalent) or Post Graduates in any discipline with min. 50% marks [aggregate- considering results of all years (e.g. 3 or 4 together)] recognised by UGC/AICTE
- Minimum 5 years of work experience (full-time paid employment) post completion of graduation, as on June, 2017
Eligible applicants will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Program Aptitude Test (PAT) to be conducted by NIIT Imperia, together with the assessment of background and motivation (Statement of Purpose-Annexure I of the Application Form) based on the application form submitted. Selected applicants need to resubmit the latest proof of current employment at the time of Registration
BANK LOAN INFORMATION
Up to 90% of the program fee can be availed as Customised Education Loan from leading banks to enable the participants to spread the repayment over a period of 36 months. However, the applicant shall be eligible for bank loans as per the concerned bank norms. Neither NIIT Imperia nor the institute will be held responsible for any delay in disbursement of the bank loan.
